A photo of a group of members of the Scottish National Party (SNP) appeared in a SNP newsletter. The two photos in the background of Scottish legends William Wallace and Robert the Bruce were digitally inserted, replacing royal portraits of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Local SNP councillor Cecil Meiklejohn blamed an “overly enthusiastic” local party member for removing the royal portraits.
